Community cards are the cards placed face-up on the table that belong to all players simultaneously. In Texas Hold’em each player combines their 2 hole cards with the 5 community cards to form their best 5-card hand. In Omaha exactly 3 of the 5 community cards must be used. The collection of community cards forms what is called the board.
