The cutoff is the position immediately to the right of the dealer button and is considered the second-best position at the table. It acts before the button in all rounds but still has position over most players. From the cutoff, it is common to attempt blind steals when all earlier players have folded. A wider range of hands can be played from the cutoff compared to earlier positions.
