A set is the strongest form of three of a kind in Texas Hold’em, formed when a player holds a pocket pair and a third card of the same rank appears on the board. It is extremely valuable because it is difficult for opponents to identify. The probability of flopping a set with a pocket pair is approximately 11.8%.
