Geometric Bet Sizing

Geometric sizing is the method of calibrating bet sizes across multiple streets so that equal fractional bets of the pot would result in an all-in by the river. The formula for two remaining streets is: bet size per street = √(stack/pot) – 1, yielding the same relative percentage on both streets. This approach maximizes pressure throughout the hand and is frequently prescribed by solvers in high-polarization spots. The importance of geometric sizing is avoiding the imbalanced situation of over-betting the flop while leaving disproportionately small bets on the turn and river.
