All-in EV (also EV adjusted or EV Adj) is the metric that replaces the actual result of an all-in hand with the EV calculated from equity at the time of the all-in. For example, if a player goes all-in with 70% equity for a $200 pot, their all-in EV is +$40 regardless of the actual result. Tracking all-in EV rather than actual results reduces winrate variance and more clearly reveals decision quality. The difference between actual results and all-in EV reveals luck: consistently outrunning all-in EV indicates good fortune, underperforming indicates bad luck, without implying anything about decision quality.
